I studied at University of California, Berkeley, where I received a B.A. in Legal Studies and a minor in Ethnic Studies. My areas of study and involvement in student organizations, such as Berkeley’s Black Recruitment and Retention Center, allowed me to strengthen my love of advocacy, community organizing, and conducting research on important topics impacting communities of color. While completing my degree, I simultaneously gained many years of experience working within Washington’s public policy and nonprofit realm through the Justice for Girls Coalition (JFG). At JFG, I acquired greater expertise on facilitating advocacy training events, policy tracking, program development, fostering spaces with a DEI and girl-centered approach, collaboration with nonprofits and state government agencies, and more. I am passionate about advocacy and building an equitable future for all!
