About Hailey Cooperrider

To create the world we want, that works for everyone, we need to collaborate. I envision a world in which everyone has the collaboration capability they need, in order to realise their individual and collective desired futures. Increasingly I'm seeking out opportunities to realise this vision in a more scalable way, through products and platforms. I also work on specific collaboration projects, usually in a context where multiple stakeholders from different sectors are trying to realise some positive impact together. Most recently I have launched a new business, Amble Studio, with four friends. We make games for creating and growing together. We apply the best bits of games to help people work together better.I have experience as a workshop facilitator, and as an advisor, coach and creative producer for teams who want to collaborate more effectively.

  • Great Hayfield
    Founder And Director
Great Hayfield Dec 2017 - Present
    Melbourne, Victoria, Au
Great Hayfield is my privately owned company, which provides me a space to independently pursue my more experimental ideas. In particular, I am developing knowledge and capability in the field of serious games. I want to apply games to collaborative projects, and use games as a means to spread collaboration capability more broadly. I will be focusing my efforts here for the foreseeable future, while still working with Collabforge on aligned projects.
  • Collabforge
    Collaboration And Strategy Lead
    Collabforge Oct 2009 - Present
    Melbourne, Victoria, Au
I work with a team to design and manage innovative projects with mostly government clients, leveraging in-person and online collaboration to help people do important things and enjoy doing them. First and foremost, it's about building the collaboration capability of our clients, so that they can continue to do great things long after our project has ended. My focus is on the underlying systems and approaches that make collaboration work.
  • Enspiral
    Member
    Enspiral Feb 2016 - Present

Enspiral is a global network of brilliant entrepreneurs and activists doing "stuff that matters". Through regular retreats, digital coordination, resource sharing, and a strong culture of mutual support, the Enspiral community amplifies the impact of its people. I've participated actively since 2016, including supporting the development of the Enspiral network in Melbourne.
  • Openny Forum
    Organizer
    Openny Forum Mar 2009 - Jan 2010
In 2008, I worked with Noel Hidalgo and a few likeminded individuals to found a meetup group around the topic of open government and the use of digital tools and government. We sought to create the environment in which collaboration, innovation and consensus can occur among civic-minded entrepreneurs and technologists in New York. When I left to pursue work with Collabforge in Australia, Noel continued to grow the meetup. Under Noel's leadership, it has now transformed into BetaNYC and continues to do amazing work.
  • Openkollab
    Founder
    Openkollab Jul 2009 - Dec 2009
OpenKollab was an experimental online group, in which a community of likeminded individuals explored the potential of distributed collaboration. Many ideas and relationships were developed over its short life, and many lessons learned about the realities of doing meaningful work in groups.
  • Mudball
    Consultant
    Mudball May 2009 - Oct 2009
Mudball was an attempt to establish myself as an independent consultant, during a time of transition. The main product of this initiative was the Participation Camp unconference. Participation Camp provided a space in which to explore issues around enabling effective citizen participation in government decision-making.
  • Open Resource Group

Open Resource Group Sep 2008 - Apr 2009
  • Connecting.Nyc Inc.
    Connector
    Connecting.Nyc Inc. Apr 2008 - Oct 2008
Connecting.nyc was formed in order to acquire the .nyc top-level internet domain for New York City, and to manage it in the public interest. In order for our application to be accepted, it is necessary to demonstrate broad public support for the organization.I immediately focused on recruiting and coordinating new volunteers, allowing Connecting.nyc to formulate a comprehensive summer campaign strategy. We now have an improved interactive web presence, have already held several successful events with plans for more to come, and have broadened and strengthened our network of supporting organizations.
  • Kaplan Test Prep And Admissions
    Special Projects
Kaplan Test Prep And Admissions Jan 2008 - Mar 2008
    New York, Ny, Us
In January 2008, Kaplan's Manhattan Area team experienced intense growth in on-site SAT accounts due to internal restructuring and policy changes at the Department of Education. Responsibilities that were previously handled by one person now needed to be distributed across the entire team. I introduced online collaboration tools to 1.) insure that important information would be up-to-date and available to all team members at all times, and 2.) facilitate task tracking and exception handling. I trained all involved team members in their new responsibilities and in the use of the new tools. During this time, I also acted as client liaison, until a permanent position could be established.
  • Kaplan Test Prep
    Center Services Manager
Kaplan Test Prep Mar 2006 - Dec 2007
    Fort Lauderdale, Fl, Us
As one of two Center Services Managers at Kaplan's flagship Manhattan Village Center, I managed a team of five student advisors to provide premium customer service and consultative sales. I also oversaw day-to-day center operations, including physical plant, technology, and service escalations. We saw steady improvement in customer service feedback metrics during this time period. The Manhattan Village Center's volume far outstrips any other Kaplan center, thus requiring constant operational innovation at the field level. I supplied workflow design, interface mockups, and usability testing to our in-house web developer for several custom tools. These included a shared calendar for managing room assignments, and an improved database for tracking student/tutor pairings. I also designed and administered an intranet based on the TikiWiki Content Management System, which now functions as an archive of Manhattan-specific information.
