In my position as an MFTT, my role was to provide compassionate, trauma-informed mental health counseling to diverse client populations including children, adults, families, and groups. I have been praised by previous Supervisors for my passion to grow as a clinician and for my strengths in building rapport and establishing meaningful therapeutic relationships with my clients. My responsibilities while working under a licensed supervisor included: conducting intakes, individual/conjoint/family/group therapy sessions, diagnosing appropriately, implementing effective interventions, case management, and attending/participating in weekly group and triadic supervision. In my experience as a Trainee, I was able to practice/apply a variety of therapeutic modalities in my work depending on each client's individual needs (evidence based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as person-centered therapy, play/art therapy, etc).
