With hard work and leadership, I became the manager of coordinated entry for Clallam County and aimed to improve the screening and intake processes. I transferred to shelter services where I was the manager of shelter services including a walk in shelter, clean and sober shelter, and family shelter programs. After increasing bed capacity and the amount of bed nights, In 2018, I volunteered for a new non profit dedicated to transitional housing for women and children experience substance use. We opened a 7 bed transitional housing unit for women and their children who were maintaining sobriety. We successfully ran the program for two years until the height of the pandemic. I am currently an MSW student at Arizona State University and will graduating in 2024.
