My name is Hailey Toth, and I am a student at the University of Arizona, where I study Family Studies and Human Development. I identify as a woman proud of my Mexican and Hungarian heritage, as well as the family I come from. Originally from Colorado, I chose to transfer to U of A to take a significant step toward my career aspirations. Since I was young, I have always set ambitious goals for myself, and one of my key objectives is to support disadvantaged communities.I aspire to be a child court advocate, assisting children who have been victims or witnesses of crimes. Unfortunately, minorities, particularly those of Hispanic descent, often face heightened vulnerability to crime. Navigating the legal system can be daunting for children, leaving them feeling confused and lost. My mission is to help them feel comfortable expressing themselves, sharing their truth, and gaining confidence in an unfamiliar environment. Many disadvantaged communities already feel unwelcome within the criminal justice system, and I am committed to doing everything I can to make them feel secure.
