I am algorithm expert at Digital Cockpit Department, NIO, where I focus on R&D in multi-modality human-machine interaction.homepage: https://sites.google.com/view/hailin-shiShort BioDr. Hailin Shi, IEEE Senior Member, has joined NIO since 2022 as expert in algorithm, focusing on the R&D work of multi-modality human-machine interaction for intelligent and digital cockpit. Before, he was a senior researcher and tech leader in JD AI Research. His team explored in the large scale face recognition, facial landmark detection, face parsing, self-supervised learning etc. More previously, he was assistant professor at Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASIA), worked closely with Prof. Stan Z. Li and Prof. Zhen Lei. He received the Ph.D degree in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems from CASIA, supervised by Stan Z. Li. Before that, he received the M.S degree in CS from University of Paris VI (now called Sorbonne Université), supervised by Prof. Isabelle Bloch and Prof. Dominique Béréziat, and the B.E double degree in EE from the joint-program of Nanchang University and University of Poitiers.
