With more than a decade of experience, brands such as Singtel, AkzoNobel, Dulux, Overseas Union Enterprise Limited, Asia Pacific Breweries Limited, National Heritage Board (Singapore), National Arts Council (Singapore), Malay Heritage Foundation (Singapore), Prime Minister Office (PMO), Wisma Geylang Serai and many others have benefited to provide awareness and communicate with their intended audience through Hairul’s unique design thinking and his approach towards creative solutions.Hairul’s love for progression and desire to share led him to join the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) as one of their key lecturers in Visual Communication from 2009 to 2012. During his stay with the institution, he was appointed as the Coach for AseanSkills 2010 and WorldSkills 2011 for Graphic Design. Amidst his responsibilities to several appointments, he was also the Chief Liaison Officer for 4PM –(Malay Youth Literacy Association).To date, he continues to develop specialized curriculums and conduct a series of lectures. Aside from managing a boutique branding studio, he is also appointed as an adjunct lecturer at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) – School of Art, Design and Media; Lasalle College of The Arts; and M.A.D. School by Chatsworth Medi@rt Academy. Progressing ahead, Hairul continues to pursue his creative journey and has established new partnerships with a boutique branding studio, B.RU Collective Pte Ltd and a contemporary printmaking studio, Lokka Lekkr.

Interdisciplinary Collaborative Core – Information Visualization His appointment and engagement with the university are to teach several modules, i.e., Typography III, Typography II, Production for Graphic Designers, Packaging Design, and Information Visualisation curriculums effectively to the students, meeting their individual needs and abilities, enabling them to be competent professionals.The 13 weeks courses offer students a broad overview of the various modules such as understanding the workflow, material consideration, Type design, Type installation, Type specimen, formal structure, brand identity design, imagery, product positioning, and environmental concerns.Hairul’s tasks include encouraging and familiarising the students with diverse creative methodologies that enable them to develop intensive examinations of disparate mediums and processes as they relate to the manipulation of forms and structure.By understanding various qualities inherent in packaging materials and processes, students were tasked to produce various packaging solutions that deal with shape, form, and volume. Emphasis is placed on developing solutions in relation to the marketing concepts and objectives for varying products.In addition, Hairul is also required to address effective techniques of consumer and marketing research. Issues of environment and sustainability will be briefly highlighted. -
