- Managing assurance engagements by defining the audit strategy in consultation with the partner, and execute it in compliance with EY's policies and protocols.- Executing complex audit procedures and lead teams or parts of teams on engagements- Managing projects and engagements profitably by leading the team to perform efficiently- Monitoring assurance team's progress against the plan and alter it when needed- Developing long-term productive client relationships and networks and serving as the first contact person with the client - Coaching people by sharing knowledge with team members and helping team members attain experiences that cultivate technical competencies.- Develop people by encouraging individuals to think for themselves and take responsibility for their contributions to the assurance team.- Conduct timely performance reviews and provide performance feedback/on-the-job training- Maintain cooperative relationships with other assurance teams

* Involved in overall planning of audits, conducting initial planning meetings with clients to understand their environment and assessing the underlying audit risk. Also, analysis and testing of internal controls and suggesting improvements* Review and supervision of the work performed by audit associates throughout the course of the audit in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.* Performing audits in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).* Assisting client with the preparation and presentation of financial statements including significant financial statement disclosures, in the light of the relevant reporting framework and ensuring compliance with all applicable reporting requirements* Preparation of final audit deliverables – the audit report, the covering letter to the Board of Directors, the Management Letter, reporting packages and other reports and certificates.
