Project Development:• Support in the preparation of project funding proposals and Concept Notes for GCF and Adaptation fund grants in North, East, West, South and Central Africa;• Prepare ESP, ESMP, and Prefeasibility studies and develop the theory of change for projects, ensuring compliance and promoting sustainability;• Carries out desk research on selected aspects, operations and other activities including collecting, analyzing and presenting statistical data and other information gathered from diverse sources including consulting NDCs, National Communications, National Adaptation Plans, and biennial UNFCCC update reports.Project Management and Grant Administration: • Undertake and follow up on tasks related to the preparation of the work plans, procurement, and performance/ progress reports;• Monitor projects' budgets to ensure compliance with the fund requirements;• Preparation evaluation and validation of ToRs, CNs, and budget estimations;• Facilitate implementation, M&E, MRV of projects' activities;• Support the development of managerial tools to ensure the efficient and effective achievement of expected results;• Participate and conduct regular bases M&E and supervision missions in different regions in Africa;• Participate in the Mid-term and final evaluation missions of the projects;• Keep and maintain records of compliance project activities;• Collaborated with stakeholders to develop action plans for climate resilience and adaptation measures.Technical and analytical and logistical support:• Review literature, conduct research and synthesize findings into concise and well-written summaries;• Provide organizational and substantive support towards logistical arrangements at events and workshops;• Preparation of brief notes for the decision makers for the relevant background papers, briefing and speaking notes;• Develop terms of reference for the development of concept notes or project proposals.
