Managed an Operation of 1 Billion QR annually with manpower that fluctuates between 5000 to 11,500 depending on the workload. For 2022 shutdown season; Qcon had 19,000 employees.This role was responsible for Strategically managing the entire Operations and Health, Safety, Environment, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Administration, Medical services, IT dept & its systems, entire Resources strategies & Operations, Systems “design, implementation, and Continuous Improvement” towards realizing the Company’s Vision, Mission, and Adherence to the Values, and meeting its set plans, profit and loss targets.To realize the above, I was responsible for talent acquisition, headhunting, Retention, Career ladders establishment, Career Development, Qatarization of key positions with Sons of Qatar talent, succession planning, Risk Management, and executive reporting.

Started with Qcon as Maintenance Manager - 2008 (Jan) – 2013 (Jun)Critical Operation Management: Managed the Operations that generated 60+% of Company’s revenues. Specialized & unique: Shutdowns Management, Manpower supply long-term Contracts, Plant & Machinery Business Unit, Fabrication shop (9000+ sq mtrs with state of the art facilities), Brown Field Projects executed through call off or tendered and awarded. Business streams creation: Created & managed the Plant Services [Scaffolding, Painting, Insulation, Rigging, Operational Logistics], Specialized Services [Hydro-services: Jetting, Testing, Torque].Performance Enhancement: Transformed the capability of the company from 1-2 Shutdowns per year to 10+ annually. Systems Creation: Streamlined the Process maps for the key Processes to control the quality of the deliverables, and create competitive advantage for the company by automating critical tasks. These goals were achieved through documenting the work steps and transactions of Core Company Systems, procedures, checklists, Operational guidelines, and the utilization of IT technologies & software solutions by investing in Computerized systems in all aspects of the Maintenance Operations. Strategic Initiatives:  Initiated the “Sons of Qatar Program” that targeted the recruitment, development, and Operational Leadership for the young men & women with University qualification to grow within the company towards becoming its leaders in due course with proven performance. Led the team who established the company UAE Operations from ground zero in 2013. Got promoted to Operations Manager, & became responsible for the company’s: Messaieed Marine Yard Operations [144,000 Sq mtrs facilities with nearly 1000+ manpower and facilities].  Major Projects which added all the engineering disciplines departments and their Operations: Civil & Infrastructure, Electrical, Instrumentations, Engineering & Detailed Design, Material Control.
