I lead the ML organization at Instacart. We use ML to support many aspects of the e-commerce business, including search, discovery, personalization, recommendations, ads, as well as growth related problems such as pricing, incentives, retention, etc. Since 2022, we have been pioneering using Large Language Models and generative AI for e-commerce.
