Experience in legal research, legal writing, transactional law, policy analysis, and legislation. Currently a supervisor attorney and senior legal counsel in the the Office of Chief Counsel at the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT). My team manages a vast number of complex contracts and grants, while working on matters related to construction law, sustainability, tribal law, and preservation of cultural resources during infrastructure projects. Our efforts are pivotal in shaping infrastructure projects that respect legal and community standards, ensuring that stakeholder engagement and policy analysis inform the fabric of transportation law. Prior to law school, I worked for several years in the nonprofit sector on international law, human rights, peacekeeping, and post 9/11 civil liberties issues. I transitioned to immigration law after law school before moving to the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) to work on the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. The promotion to a supervisory role at MnDOT exemplifies my dedication to public service and effective management. With a rich professional background, I bring a deep understanding of legislative and policy analysis to the complex landscape of transportation law.
