The responsibilities encompass developing a procurement and logistics strategy, establishing policies and procedures, selecting and nurturing Vendor Management while conducting regular supplier evaluations, directing and managing the procurement and logistics department for various projects, both operational and non-development, designing a procurement and logistics operating model that prioritizes customer satisfaction and upholds transparency and accountability, overseeing the sourcing of various materials and welding services across sectors such as Oil and Gas, Marine, Water Application, and Fire Water to ensure competitive pricing and adherence to project quality and technical specifications. Additionally, the role involves proficiency in reading drawings and familiarity with CAD drawing standards and systems, organizing optimal storage for perpetual inventory items, implementing corporate cost-effectiveness initiatives, managing contractor and vendor prequalification and post-evaluation, coordinating activities with Project Managers, dealing with Thermoplastics, controlling purchasing department budgets, reviewing purchase order claims and contracts to align with company policy, verifying commercial invoices, resolving vendor or contractor grievances, evaluating bid specifications, maintaining records, negotiating contracts, nurturing client relationships, liaising with Product Line Planning Managers to prioritize purchasing activities, and overseeing end-to-end inventory and logistics management.
