Viterra handles incoming grains/lentils directly from farmers to load into Silos and bunkers. Those grains/lentils are then exported out with the aid of trucks, rail carts and shipping vessels throughout the state of South Australia and the world.My role involves providing technical support and project work in order to maintain/upgrade storage and bulk material handling assets (Dust Plants, Conveyors, Fumigation, Structural restoration, Luffing Winch mechanisms, Shiploaders, Hoppers, etc.)• Technical work include but not limited to:o Designing and drafting engineering concept design for contractors to attain quotations.o Dust plant calculations, performance investigation and on site balancing.o Conveyor calculations for new motor, gearbox, pulleys, bearings, etc. o Chute design for optimal product flow and asset life.o Asset failure root cause analysis o Safe Machine design as per current Australian standards. o Design risk assessments.o New equipment trial and documentations. • Project work includes but not limited to:o Planning and scoping the project.o Liaising with internal stakeholders for approval o Preparing and releasing tenders.o Tender reviewing and comparison.o Preparing financial document for budget release. o Awarding tenders and planning the works.o Liaising with operations and contractors for project execution.o Permit issuing for site works.o QA/QC checks of project works.o Commissioning work.o Handover work.
