We consider ourselves caretakers of the Earth. Having a firm belief that every human is gifted by God. To be a positive changemaker in the world, and be part of the environmental stewardship.The work of the studio is at the intersection of interior, architecture and landscape. The mission is to challenge all boundaries between space & nature. The inside and outside. Studio NousNous is a Dutch based Research and Design Studio founded by interior architect and spatial designer Hakim El Amrani. Operating on different scales, advocating rejuvenating spaces. We stimulate green growth for a healthy inclusive society. By implementing nature-based design in the built environment. In an era, where cities are rapidly getting bigger. While all the eco-systems we have, are getting sicker.We apply biophilic design as our design methodology. All works are inspired by nature. This can be in the way of having a direct visual contact with nature. Or it can be in-direct. In an abstract way of designing the space. We make clear that the vision of our client, is firstly translated into strong design concepts. Then morphing it gradually, with focus, into the final design. We serve both the private and the business market. We all need to re-connect with nature. Graduated in interior architecture and spatial design with a strong passion for healing environments, a people-oriented approach and nature. This all comes together as biophilic design (reconnecting with the natural world) in our practice. We create at the intersection of interiors, architecture and landscape.• Biophilic Design (Nature inspired inclusive design. Many scientific studies have shown that nature-inspired (biophilic design) contributes to health and well-being of the user in the built environment. Some of these studies showed that biophilic design helped sick people get better faster and encouraged office workers to take fewer sick days. Studio NousNous is committed to the long-term interests of the earth and its inhabitants. We are concerned with spaces and objects that (in)directly reflect nature.
