When someone has audited more than 100 aviation organizations on 6 continents, he must possess a big picture on the aviation management systems. Been there, done that! I had a chance to audit the flag carrier airlines such as British Airways and airlines with just one aircraft in their AOC. I have spent time in airlines and MROs in Ecuador, Chile, Angola, Vietnam as well as Finland and Sweden. This gave me a great opportunity to see different approaches to the management of safety in aviation and to apply it either as a safety & quality manager or aviation consultant.Even more often than being an auditor I have been an auditee, answering and explaining systems, procedures and polices to various organizations in the certification processes of airlines and MROs. In aviation there are manuals with the strange names like CAME, MOE, OM-A and SQM. I wrote many of these manuals either in airlines start-up processes or obtaining different approvals like the foreign EASA Part 145. I have the master degrees in mechanical engineering and business economics, two professions that perfectly match together in aviation management business. Recently I've checked a file with my aviation maintenance training records. It includes the certificates from 20 aviation maintenance training courses including Level III for Airbus A319/A320 and ATR42 aircraft. But it is not all about aviation. I have a passion for endurance sport, especially Ironman full-distance races (3.8 km swim, 180 km cycling and 42.2 run). It is sounds crazy but I really enjoy it.
