Conduct psychoeducational assessments in the school setting following the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD model, collaborating with diagnosticians, speech-language pathologists, and other school personnel throughout the process. Consult with parents regarding their children’s progress and provide them with feedback after the completion of evaluations. Provide counseling services to children and adolescents in the school setting utilizing CBT and solution-focused approaches while also ensuring the approach works best for the student individually. Work with students going through crises and involve the necessary parties to ensure that students receive the help they require. Consult and collaborate with other school personnel to determine the effectiveness of current supports and place and/or determine whether services need to be implemented, continued, or discontinued. Actively participate in IEP meetings, staffings, and student reviews to discuss information relating to students that may or may not require psychological services. Complete data collection relevant to evaluations and consultations in a timely manner to then efficiently complete reports. Population: Urban, low and high socioeconomic status students from varying ethnic backgrounds with varying eligibility categories (ID, OHI, ED, SLD, ASD, HI).
