Current11/19-3/21 FLRAA Team Valor – Lead a team of 6 performing requirements analysis and design trades. Trades required cost, schedule, and technical data from potential suppliers – some of which were direct competitors with MFC. Explained legal protections in place between them & LM, established good relationships and in most cases obtained the data.3/19-11/19 Full Spectrum Targeting – Mentored young engineer developing physics model of a fast scanning mirror.6/17-3/19 ARTS-V2 Generated Proposal Technical Volume, won contract and transitioned lead role to development team.10/14-5/17 INFIRNO – Fit a 20” focal length into a 3.5” length to add SWIR imaging capability. Used 4 prisms for 8 optical folds. Invented a high index of refraction coating to eliminate stray light reflections at prism / air boundaries.8/13-9/16 TSS – Needed low cost upgrade of low resolution FLIR to HD. Identified smaller pitch HD chip matching original low res size, swapped chip, updated dewar, led EE team in development of I/F card & moved all image processing onto I/F card reducing SWAP of the system. Completed design, prototype, & test with a 1 year interruption in funding.9/11-7/13 DAGR – Needed qualification and test plans for IRAD. Generated qual & test plans.
