Successfully completed the Triennial Fire Protection Inspections in 2009 and 2012, resolved a former AFI for the buried piping program, restructured and re-vitalized the Predictive Analysis Group, established the plan and projects for the Life Extension effort and received no M-Rule issues from the recent PI&R NRC inspection during my leadership.

Supervised seven engineers and two electrical designers that provided plant modifications to improve equipment reliability resulting in increased revenue at Surry Power Station.Accomplishment – Re-engineered the design control engineering staff which resulted in increased product output, fewer implementation errors, and increased equipment reliability. Based on rapid group turnaround I was selected to assume leadership to turn around the low performing Engineering Programs Group. Qualified Fleet Safety Review Committee member (alternate) for engineer (this is the highest nuclear safety committee at a nuclear power station). Eliminated many long standing Operator "Work- Around's" during this time via plant modifications.

Accomplishment - LEAD Engineer for the Single Point Vulnerability (SPV) Review at Surry Power Station supervising a team of three engineers and one Senior Reactor Operator. This project saves an average of $500,000 for every reactor trip prevented. Designed the process and have implemented it at all three Dominion nuclear power stations.Accomplishment - Designed and operated a computer simulation to troubleshoot and eliminate an instrumentation scaling problem that had existed for ten years causing numerous Technical Specification LCO entries.Accomplishment – Re-designed the pressurizer spray valve electronic controllers to eliminate a legacy design flaw.

2002-2003 LEAD Instructor (Chair), Licensed Operator Re-qualification Program (LORP) at Surry Power Station - Supervised eight Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) instructors in the development and delivery of classroom, laboratory, and simulator training to maintain NRC Licenses for Operations Department personnel At SPS. Maintained SRO Certification by passing annual Op Evals and attending LOR.1999-2002 Instructor, LORP - Conducted classroom, laboratory, and simulator training to maintain NRC licenses for Operations Department personnel at SPS. Maintained SRO Certification by passing annual Op Evals and attending LOR.Training - 1997-1999 Completed Hot License Class receiving a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) Certification. Qualified as a simulator Instructor. Qualified as Station Emergency Manager.

1989-1997 LEAD Instructor (Chair), I&C Program Surry Power Station - Supervised two instructors in the development and delivery of classroom and laboratory training for Instrument Department personnel. Developed and delivered classroom and laboratory training at SPS.1986-1989 Instructor - Developed and delivered classroom and laboratory training at SPS.Accomplishment - Led the initial Institute of Nuclear Power Operation (INPO) I&C Training Program Accreditation at SPS (1986) and three subsequent renewals (1990, 1994, and 1997) with no findings.Accomplishment - Designed and implemented both a fundamental and advanced I &C Laboratory, including designing control systems and programming PLC’s and Distributed Control Systems.Designed and implemented the first task qualification tracking database in Nuclear Training. This database was then replicated throughout the Dominion fleet.

Startup Testing of I&C for a BWR (Stone and Webster/Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation)Performed maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of Distributed Control, PLC, digital and electronic, electrical, and pneumatic instrumentation.Developed initial functional test and calibration procedures.Supervised commissioning testing of I&C during new construction.

1981-1983 LEAD Petty Officer and Technical Adviser for Nuclear Electrical Division One on-board the nuclear aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (IKE)(6300 persons) - Managed four work centers totaling thirty-nine men in the production and distribution of ship’s electrical power. Managed the equipment reliability program, led troubleshooting the most complex equipment problems in Engineering Department, and designed equipment modifications to enhance their reliability and performance.
