Being a native speaker of Arabic who has studied English for more than 16 years made me interested in the differences between the two languages and how meaning is conveyed in each of these languages. This led me to pursue a degree in English language in addition to mastering my mother tongue, which allowed me to pursue a career in translation. After years of work and study this curiosity turned into a passion, translation for me transcends task performance as it has developed into an internal drive to find the best translation rather than just completing a job according to the requirements. This drives me to treat the text as a living creature that must be respected by translating not only what it says but also conveying it's emotions and considering the context. For me, translation is not only to convey the literal meaning of the original, what satisfies me is evoking the spirit of the writers and making them 'speak' in the target language. My aim is to come as close as possible to presenting the original text to the reader of my translation.
