Responsible for managing the College's Information Technology needs, overseeing all areas of the school's 1000+ computer fleet and many hundreds of IoT devices. Manage all ICT or ICT-adjacent projects and manage or consult on non-ICT projects as required.
Since taking on the role of IT Manager I have navigated the College through the government's Digital Education Revolution (DER) and National Secondary School Computer Fund (NSSCF) as well as initiating the College's Student 1:1 Computing program which took the College's fleet of computers to 1000 devices at it's peak. I then planned and implemented a new.
In my second role at MRC I developed and managed the College's network and server infrastructure as well as taking on responsibility for training a junior staff member. During this period I migrated the College to tier one server and switch hardware, moved from traditional email to MS exchange as well as implementing the College's first wireless network.
As IT Support Officer I was responsible for all IT support, and designed and built much of the College's early network infrastructure including merging many disparate individual networks, building the first internal mailserver, and the first filtering proxy server.
Starting in this role I helped a local primary school recover and restore its IT assets after a major fire damaged much of the school.
