Hello there! My name is Haley Placke and I studied at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, where I received an endorsement in Elementary Education as well as a minor in Special Education in May of 2017. I lived in northern Colorado for most of my life, where I graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2013. In high school, I was a very active student and participated in several varsity athletics, clubs, and organizations. This constant desire to achieve and stay busy resulted in me being one of the thirteen students in my class to receive Valedictorian honors. Following graduation, I began my journey at the University of Nebraska at Kearney towards my dream career of becoming a teacher. Throughout my college experience, I participated in several organizations, took part in a handful of volunteer opportunities, and worked as a paraprofessional at an after school program. All of these experiences, as well as the knowledge I have gained in my Teacher Education classes, have truly prepared me to be a very well-rounded teacher that is up-to-date on all of the latest teaching practices. I am greatly enjoying my time being a 2nd grade teacher!
