One of my main tasks was expanding the firm's virtual plant library in Vectorworks, a critical resource used in all projects. I also played a key role in assisting with a project submission to the Sustainable SITES Initiative, aiming for the firm’s first SITES-accredited project. At Carolina Garden Co., I had the opportunity to shadow the founder and operator, gaining firsthand experience in running a landscaping business. I assisted with project management, client communication, and on-site work, learning the ins and outs of both the design and operational sides of the business. This role gave me valuable insight into the day-to-day challenges and rewards of maintaining a successful landscaping company, from concept development to project execution.
