I'm passionate about using metabolomics to find new ways to understand our most fundamental inner workings. I’m also committed to teaching integrated concepts of chemistry, biology and data science in new ways to inspire the next generation of science and health professionals (or, hey, if they don’t want to be scientists, at least students will have a bit more of an appreciation for the process).I earned an Interdisciplinary Nutrition PhD focused on using metabolomics techniques to study gastrointestinal responses to diet, with additional experience in science communication, community outreach, and teaching. Now, I use and develop metabolomics tools to investigate diseases, including COVID-19. I also work as an active member of the NIH community to build community within diverse groups, as well as increase our outreach to the community beyond the bench.
