I ran my first fundraiser in the 4th grade (& it continues to be student run to this day!). It taught me the power of a community coming together, the long term impact an individual can create, and that people will help if you empower them to act.Ever since, I've volunteered and worked in-person and remotely for nonprofits supporting affordable housing, after school programs, refugee rights, international peacekeeping, museums, and economic development.Across organizations I've specialized in relationship building, accountability management, curriculum development for adult education, volunteer management, community outreach, problem solving and strategic planning. In each role I excel at identifying and connecting people who can support one another and in doing so scale my organization's opportunity for impact (i.e. that time I scaled capacity for a museum's tours and associated revenue by 67%, or that time my side hustle fundraised about $200,000 for independent artists, OR that time I fostered an advisor community of 75 vetted experts to support the growth of the founders I serve).Accessibility, sustainability and equity are at the heart of every decision I make for the programs I lead. In my current role I run an accelerator to help healthcare startups grow. Through working with community members to intentionally recruit and structure the program with accessibility in mind we were able to increase representation of diverse founders by 45% - and we continue to work to increase representation of speakers, etc!My purpose is equal parts service and longevity of impact.
