Since 2017 I have been studying web development at Fort Hays State University and can effectively utilize several coding languages. During my education at FHSU, I have experienced both on-campus and online learning, making my educational experience unique. Being an online student has required me to be highly self-motivated and resourceful. I often juggled five or six classes while also working roughly twenty hours a week. In addition to my experience as an online learner, I have had unique learning opportunities from my work and volunteer experiences. When I was a freshman, I began a service project taking senior photos for high schoolers in my hometown. I edited photos for each student and provided them with digital copies to use however they wanted. I continued this through the Fall of 2019.Another distinctive learning opportunity was my time as the Parent Liaison for a local elementary school. In this position, I worked closely with the principal and the president of the Parent/Teacher Organization as well as many other staff members, parents, and students. This was an especially rewarding role because I had the opportunity to demonstrate my ability to handle many responsibilities and projects. I was also able to be of service and make life a little easier for busy educators and parents while creating special memories for students.Currently, I am a graduate student at Fort Hays State University pursuing a Master of Professional Studies in Web and Mobile Applications Development. I was also awarded a Graduate Teaching Assistantship in the Informatics Department.
