Project: Studying antibiotic production of isolated bacterial strains. Responsibilities: Creating experimental designs and planning, preparing sterile growth media, testing bacterial strains for antibiotic activity, preparing and testing chemical extractions, troubleshooting and adjusting hypotheses based on test results, and organizing and presenting findings to the research group.

Responsibilities: Manage office inventory and accounts, develop creative custom products in narrative and multi-media formats for funeral services, and always interact with customers with kindness and empathy.

Project: Search for novel antibiotics produced by soil bacteria. Responsibilities: Isolate bacterial colonies from soil samples. Screen the samples for antibiotic production, perform chemical extractions of secondary metabolites for testing.

Project: Characterization of microbes in the American River. Responsibilities: Biochemical testing to identify bacterial strains and record coliforms present in river water samples.

Managed and balanced the store safe. Prepared tills and performed cash pickups from registers as well as provide manager overrides to the check stands. I was in charge of the customer service booth, processing returns, exchanges, money orders, handling customer complaints.
