As a Shareholder at Katz, Siegel & Maple in Tampa Bay, I focus my litigation practice on representing contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals in complex construction and commercial litigation. I pride myself and our team on professionally pursuing cost effective and creative strategies that think outside of the box. Resolving a matter before a lawsuit is filed is incredibly rewarding when appropriate for the client. My experience spans all stages of litigation, including presuit investigation, alternative dispute resolution, dispositive motion practice, trial, appellate brief drafting, and appellate argument.I am Board Certified in Construction Law by the Florida Bar. For both 2024 and 2025, Best Lawyers honored me by selecting me as “Lawyer of the Year” in Construction Law in the St, Petersburg region. I am involved in many activities in the legal and local communities, including active involvement in Voter Protection Efforts and the ABA Litigation Section Leadership. Currently, I serve as co-vice chair of the Florida Bar’s RRPTL Section Committee that plans the annual Construction Law Institute. I'm Past-President of the Board of Directors of the Alpha House of Tampa n/k/a Dawning Family Services, where I served for seven years. I’ve been lucky to serve on many boards and tasks forces throughout many of the good works being accomplished in Tampa, the state of Florida, and the legal profession as a whole. I’m passionate about mental health, and if you tune in to the Litigation Radio podcast (on most podcast platforms) from the ABA Litigation section, you may catch me on a mental health and wellness tip segment. In 2015, I was thrilled to receive a scholarship to attend the Governing for Non-Profit Excellence program through Harvard’s School of Executive Education. I earned my bachelors degree, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Akron and my Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, from American University-Washington College of Law. During law school, I served as an extern at the DOJ in the Office of the Solicitor General, a note and comment editor on the Administrative Law Review, and a deans fellow in the legal writing and research program.I am currently admitted to the Florida Bar, the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, and the Eleventh Circuit.
