A professional communicator since 2012, I'm known for my skill in strategy, media outreach, messaging and project management, which shows in my experience and the achievements on which my career is built. I make a point of bringing creativity, empathy and a sense of humor to my work and ensuring teammates and clients feel included, respected and welcome. As senior manager of corporate communications for CarbonCure Technologies, I supported the development and execution of custom communications plans to reach key domestic and global audiences. I built outreach and messaging strategies to elevate the CarbonCure Technologies brand, advance the company’s carbon removal credit program and generate demand for CarbonCure's technologies among potential customers. I helped support and promote the company’s new and existing customers through communications, with a focus on notable carbon removal purchases and celebrating key partners outside North America. I also served on CarbonCure's equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) committee and helped develop the company's EDI framework and commitments.As program manager of communications for AGU's Thriving Earth Exchange, I put my engagement skills to work supporting Thriving Earth's mission to advance community science in the US and around the world. I provided communications strategy and storytelling support for community science project teams working on myriad issues, from wildfire safety to water quality, meeting and working directly with dozens of teams across the US. I also provided Thriving Earth's partners - including federal agencies, nonprofit organizations and community-serving organizations - with messaging guidance and toolkits to communicate effectively about community science.In my role as senior account manager at Spitfire Strategies, I worked on a variety of different issues, including climate change, education, criminal justice reform, reproductive rights and economic supports for working families, getting hands-on with clients to advance their goals and objectives through strategic communication.Previously, I worked at Defenders of Wildlife as a media communications specialist for a variety of issue areas, including the Endangered Species Act, offshore drilling, public lands protection and government appropriations, as well as international conservation issues such as wildlife trafficking.I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a focus on conservation and evolutionary biology. My creativity and love of nature shows through in my work as an artist, illustrator and freelance journalist.
