Implemented accommodations granted to test candidates with disabilities based on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Served as primary contact for accommodations scheduling and inquiries. Acted as a liaison between clients, test candidates, vendors, test centers, and internal teams and provide operational support to clients and candidates to ensure testing accommodations are correctly implemented. Received and managed accommodations approval data from clients. Maintained client accommodation policies and guidelines while serving as the candidate advocate throughout the scheduling process. Coordinated with service provider vendors to procure all ancillary support. Collaborated with internal teams to ensure all necessary equipment, software, support, and exam content was prepared and delivered to the appropriate test centers for accommodations candidates.

Provided person-centered services for adults with disabilities and/or mental illness in a group home setting. Supported clients' emotional, intellectual, physical, occupational, social, financial, and environmental wellness. Served as an advocate for client independence. Counseled clients in pursuing their self-defined goals. Balanced an ethical responsibility for clients' right to personal autonomy with a legal responsibility for their health and safety. Collaborated with full network of providers to ensure comprehensive care, including: internal and external disability service providers, medical and mental health professionals, case workers, job coaches, and legal guardians.

Created and executed lessons, activities, and engagement opportunities for people with disabilities in a day program environment. Provided services within both large group and 1:1 settings.Counseled, supported, and developed positive working relationships with 60+ clients. Guided clients to reach their personal goals through the implementation of Individual Instruction and Support Plans (IISPs) in accordance with DHS guidelines.Provided support for clients with physical disabilities with their personal needs, including: eating, using the restroom, administering medications, and lifting and transferring with various equipment.

Awarded a yearlong fellowship centered on a year of direct service and advocacy for people with disabilities to live, work, learn, create, and recreate in the most inclusive and enriching settings possible.Executed a semester-long advocacy project, in coordination with Minnesota’s Metro Regional Art Council (MRAC), to promote equal opportunity in the decision-making process of MRAC's 2020 Access Improvement grant panels—specifically for those directly served within Minnesota’s disability services system. Logistically supported a selected panelist with a developmental disability during all stages of the grant panel process. Counseled the panelist, with an emphasis on building confidence in voicing personal opinions and independent decision-making. Co-authored a proposal for MRAC’s 2020 Access Improvement grant that was awarded $10,000 to fund creative writing classes for, as well as publish work by, people of color with disabilities. (Funding awarded by a different panel than the one mentioned above, independent of any conflict of interest).
