Over the last year, I've discovered a passion for building things with software. My interest began with UX/ UI design and continued to expand as I began working my way through FreeCodeCamp, Shaw Academy and Udemy courses. I decided to act on this new found passion and enroll in Flatiron School's Full-Stack Software Engineering Program. Since graduating in December of 2020, I have continued my learning, which is now directed towards a better understanding of Redux and MERN stack. My background in hospitality has given me the skillset to encourage team collaboration and growth in stressful environments. I also have experience as a competitive weightlifter, which has undoubtedly improved my grit and ability to see goals through while keeping balance throughout the process. I'm excited to be entering a field where things are continually changing and improving. The learning never ends, but I welcome the journey. I find joy in challenging myself, whether it's learning new concepts, meeting a goal in the weight room or learning a new language- I'm up for it!
