Perform a variety of advanced managerial, technical and professional activities in administering human resources programs, including Civil Service, recruitment, onboarding, orientation, compensation, benefits, discipline, personnel policies and procedures, employee training, HRIS and compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. Assist with special strategic projects.

Direct human resource department at Grand Forks location. Manage the hiring process to meet the needs of the production schedule, employee relations, training and development, benefit administration/ 401k profit sharing administration, compensation plan, performance evaluations. updating and creating accurate job descriptions, and coordinate new employee orientation.

Act as liaison between Facilities Management and the Human Resources and Payroll Office, as well as the University’s Workers Compensation office. Maintain exceptional relationships with department staff and various departments such as Affirmative Action office, General Counsel office, Housing office, and the Department of Public Safety. Oversee FMLA procedures, advise, document, and participate in progressive disciplinary action including conflict resolution, verbal/ written reprimands, suspensions, terminations, pre-action hearings, grievances, and appeals. Assist staff and supervisors with filing incident and accident claims. Serve as member of University of north Dakota Policy Advisory board member.
