The SVP of Talent & Organizational Development is responsible for driving performance through the effective hiring and development of talent throughout the organization, managing and supporting the assessment of organizational needs, and the design, implementation and evaluation of programs that facilitate the professional development and continuous learning and performance of team members at all levels.In addition, this role is responsible for the management and compliance of all contracts and policies, the company’s HQ and any other company-wide strategic initiatives.

To develop, manage, direct, and evaluate initiatives in the organization related to and involving people and cafe operations. Ensure development and implementation of sustainable and cost-effective systems that meet the current and future needs of the organization. Identify and implement long-range strategic talent management goals and drive performance through cafe profitability, company growth, and student outcomes. Oversee team resources, operations, and training teams and the overall structure of the operational pod system.

To facilitate healthy and profitable cafe operations and growth by holding all operations team members accountable to the execution and mastery of the Three Pillars in all cafes. To develop and implement initiatives and programs to ensure cafes are exceeding budget and company strategic goals.

To develop and advance Saxbys’ strategic growth plans, primarily through execution of the Experiential Learning Program (ELP) as well as opening new cafes in Urban Professional Environments (UPE) in select markets. To drive new business through research and prospecting of potential opportunities, management of the pipeline, execution of new partnerships based on company goals and continued innovation and growth of the Experiential Learning Program and to build, manage and direct the Development team.

Reporting to the CEO, in addition to helping create the real estate development strategy for Saxbys, the Director of Real Estate is responsible for sourcing, reviewing, managing and negotiating LOIs and leases, and supporting in the development of new cafe expansion.
