I am a recent graduate from the photography department at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and I am passionate about music, portraiture, and still life photography.I am a Photo Editor/Retoucher for the fitness company Heat Dance, where I filter through raw images taken by the company's photographer in California and select the best ones to retouch. I correct the color, even out skin tones, move the subjects to a clean background, and I remove any unwanted details (acne, body hair, bruises, cellulite, deodorant marks, excess body weight, scars, stretchmarks, tanlines, tattoos, teeth stains, and wrinkles).I interned as a Photo Editor for Musée Magazine where I worked alongside the Editor in Chief, Andrea Blanch. I kept up to date with the photography artscene. I reached out to photographers, mixed media artists who work with photography, galleries, and publications for press and permission to cover their work on our website. I ran specifically assigned columns that are posted weekly, sourcing and contacting artists to feature them on my assigned columns.I am passionate about concert photography and have photographed dozens of live events 2017 and 2023, some of which were three separate Vans Warped Tours, 2023 Capulet Festival, Louis Tomlinson, Shinedown, Smith & Myers, Avatar, and Aaron Lewis. This taught me how to properly navigate the photo pit, concert venues, and crowds, as well as the time management involved in editing and posting my photos.My thesis was based around portraits and still life's. Through subject matter, costumes, setting, and light manipulation, I created a series of horror-inspired images that carry a psychological weight to portray what self-reflection, solitude, and social interactions feel like as someone with severe anxiety and depression.
