As part of the Olsson Human Resources team I worked with our Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, and Arkansas offices to recruit top talent for our growing teams. I helped candidates find a career at Olsson that best utilized their current skills and knowledge, and also allowed them the opportunity to continue to grow. I lead the student recruiting and outreach efforts for our region; from attending college career fairs to coordinating events for our student interns to participate in. Everyday I had the opportunity to meet new people, learn new things, and make an impact.

My Olsson internship provided me hands on human resources experience. I uploaded resumes into our applicant tracking system, conducted reference checks, requested background checks, set up integration forms for new hires, filed and organized paperwork, scanned terminated employee files for a paperless processing system, and tracked exit interviews. I also worked on special projects to support additional teams.
