Engineer by training, leader by trade. I am an aerospace engineering student at Kent State University with experience in engineering and business leadership roles. I am a proud recipient of the 2023 Golden Flash Award, and a 2024 G.E.A.R. award for my work with the KSU Board of Trustees and the Women in Engineering Club. I was nominated for the Barry Goldwater Scholarship, and was named a Finalist for the KSU Student Employment Change-Maker Award. As Team Lead of my capstone team, I lead seven seniors aiming to compete in a design, build, fly competition. I am preparing the team's tools for success by compiling a sponsorship activation strategy, preliminary gantt charts and budgets, and securing the use of manufacturing and testing facilities. I served as Undergraduate Student Trustee. During my two year term, I voiced the opinion of the undergraduate student body on Board matters. I represented my university at events with legislators and Boards from across the country, and led the successful planning and execution of the 2024 Statewide Student Trustees Summit. I also serve as the Student Director of Philanthropic and External Initiatives in the College of Education, Health, and Human Services. I lead the planning and execution of philanthropic events and initiatives, and assist the Marketing and Communications team with various outreach campaigns. Through my work at GIE Media and the College of Aeronautics and Engineering, I have led and contributed to the authoring and editing of articles intended for both print and web-based publication. I have also contributed to social media content creation, and created a social media strategy for the continued growth and retention of engagement with 17 accounts on 4 platforms. I am an accomplished communicator, as evident by my presentation experience. My work studying the aerodynamic impact of winglet shapes has allowed me to present at Kent State University, WE Local Detroit hosted by the Society for Women Engineers in February 2023, and AEROFORUM23 in San Diego, California in December 2023.In my free time, I am also highly engaged in student organizations on campus. In October 2021, I co-founded the Women in Engineering Club and serve as Events Coordinator. I network with industry professionals and connect them to engineering students and faculty through events and speaking opportunities. In 2022, I led the planning and execution of Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day. During the 2023-24 school year, I also led preparations for and competed in the Lockheed Martin Ethics in Engineering Competition.
