• Responsible for planning and implementing initiatives to engage alumni in lifelong relationships with the University of Puget Sound• Provides staff leadership and support to the Alumni Council’s various affinity groups as well as to a range of classes with upcoming 5th, 10th, and 15th reunions• Coordinate the communications activities of the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations. Develop and implement communication vehicles for keeping alumni and parents informed about appropriate university news and activities• Manage and direct the planning for Homecoming and Family Weekend and Summer Reunion Weekend, meeting all attendance, implementation, and budget deadlines and goals. • Provide leadership and direction to the campus-wide Homecoming Weekend Planning Committee and the Reunion Weekend Planning Committee, convening and leading periodic meetings of the groups throughout the year

• Coordinate and execute on campus and off campus alumni & parent relations events including Homecoming & Family Weekend, Summer Reunion Weekend, Commencement, Orientation Weekend, and regional events across the United States• Simultaneously manage 20+ concurrent events• Prepare and proactively monitor timelines to track progress toward event planning details and deadlines with campus partners• Process event registrations, distribute rosters, and track attendance for events ranging from 20 to over 1,600 guests• Work with internal campus partners and external vendors to secure space and equipment, arrange catering, order linens, and coordinate other logistical needs• Manage email marketing and printed marketing materials communication schedule for the department• Coordinate committee meetings• Recruit and manage event volunteers • Build and grow relationships with constituents• Implement department email marketing plans for alumni and parent events including save the dates, event invitations and reminders, and confirmations• Maintain department event websites including official University webpages and social media accounts• Interview, hire, train, and supervise three student staff members on day to day office operations and special projects
