At MEEA, I implemented the Building Operator Certification in Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Kansas, Nebraska, and Kentucky. I expanded partnerships into new Midwest regions to expand the program. Leading a company-wide effort to improve functionality of MEEA’s customer relationship management (CRM) software, I was a point person for updates, development, troubleshooting, and training colleagues on best practices. As cannabis legislation was starting to gain attention in the Midwest, I researched market developments across the country and planned a conference session on indoor agriculture techniques for the 2018 Midwest Energy Solutions conference. I also collaborated with colleagues on surveying intelligent efficiency market saturation and technology advancements and contributed to a paper -- Intelligent Efficiency and Utility Programs: Reports from the Midwest.

I conducted technical assessments of single-family and multifamily buildings in the Chicagoland area and created energy reports by analyzing utility data, calculating EUIs, and modeling energy saving scenarios to identify cost-effective energy efficiency and water upgrades. In addition to focusing on energy consumption, I improved health and safety conditions of income-qualified housing by notifying building owners of potential hazards, recommending remediation, and securing funding. Other responsibilities included writing SOWs, soliciting contractor pricing, securing loans, utility rebates, and other funding, and providing technical consulting to building owners one-on-one.

ChainLinks is Loyola University’s student-run bike shop. Joining the student entrepreneurship team as a Freshman in college, I quickly rose to Present of ChainLinks, overseeing initial store buildout, distributor relations, inventory management, and working as a bike mechanic all the while. I brought the business to positive cash flow from the initial debt of startup via detailed analysis of expenses and cashflow. I built a custom Microsoft Access database for customer management, increased revenue with price adjustments and increased marketing, and strengthened company partnerships with administrative departments of the university and local Aldermen. I restructured the staff, redesigned positions, and raised hiring standards.
