As a skilled and compassionate baccalaureate prepared Registered Nurse, I hope to advance in my practice as well as my education in order to develop into a next generation nursing leader. I am passionate about ensuring that our colleagues within the healthcare profession are mentored both instructively and insightfully so that the art of nursing can advance both clinically and academically, and so that patients receive the best, most evidence-based care possible. I was fortunate enough to start out my career in a Level 1 trauma Emergency Department, and have fallen in love with the field of Emergency nursing. Through my years of experience in the fast-paced environment, I was able to gain the skills and knowledge to earn the national board certification of Certified Emergency Nurse. In the coming years, I hope to continue to grow as a nurse leader, and to contribute to the field of nursing by mentoring and educating both student nurses as well as new graduate nurses. In my pursuit of a Master of Science in Nursing Education, I hope to gain skills and expertise that will allow me to further contribute to the profession of nursing.
