I am a professional sport management grad who was previously employed by the Toronto Six, Dukes Source for Sports, and the CWHL with the Toronto Furies. I started working in women's hockey after volunteering and working in my local organization, the Etobicoke Dolphins, for the past 15 years. While I have moved on from volunteering every year at their Pink the Rink tournament to being part of the organizing committee, my focus has always been working within women's professional hockey to grow the game. I am a hardworking individual who lives an active lifestyle, and generally have multiple jobs on the go. I aspire to make women's professional hockey a viable career option for the kids that I love to coach. I grew up playing hockey and there was never much in terms of professional options after college for women. I want more for the amazing kids that I coach and I aspire to help give them the options they deserve. My educational background includes an interdisciplinary degree from Lakehead University where I specialized in psychology and an advanced diploma in Sport Management from Humber College. Through my education and working experience, I have developed skills that have helped me in all walks of life. Joining the Toronto Six and being part of a championship team, hosting a home playoff series and supporting them as they went on to win the Isobel Cup was one of my greatest achievements, both professional and personally. While it was unfortunate that our championship celebrations were cut short by the sale of the PHF, I have high hopes for the future of women’s professional hockey and hope to be part of the next iteration of it.
