I worked as an assembly assistant. I washed parts in an industrial washer and prepared them for assembly. I gained experience deburring and using powered pallet jacks as well as other power tools.

I am part of the University of Washington Satellite Team, and I was accepted to be part of a paid program over the summer so I could continue my work. I have been a part of the Structures Subsystem with a focus on thermal aspects. The temperature of a satellite and of its various electronics must be found in order to create preventative measures that protect fragile electronics. I learned thermal basics for hand-modeling the temperature range of a satellite as it orbits the Earth. I have also been teaching myself Thermal Desktop so I can both confirm our findings and model the heat propagation inside the satellite to evaluate specific components.
