At the young age of 12 years old, I started doing bookkeeping for a small family business. This is when I found my passion for accounting. By 15 I was managing the inventory for the deli department of a local market, which only further validated my love for accounting and business. Once it was time for college, the choice was pretty simple - accounting is where I was born to be.While in college I studied abroad in China where I was able to get a taste of international business. Fast forwarding a few years, I graduated summa cum laude and obtained my CFE. I started my career in public accounting, specializing in consolidations and ESOPs. I then moved into the financial services industry where I spent time in Product Control as well as Legal Entity Control. I was then given an opportunity which was the perfect combination of all of my previous work experience, where I was able to take part in multiple financial projects including the implementation of a new general ledger, implementation of an accounting automation system and standardization of SOPs. Today I am able to use the knowledge I have gained during my career to help small business owners meet their accounting goals.
