After my work on Queerwalk.ca concluded, I was offered the opportunity to stay with P42 on a full-time contract basis. My work involves translating client needs into responsive and performance-driven solutions employing an array of programming languages and frameworks. As a technical consultant, I also offer expertise and innovative digital strategies, embrace constant learning, work both independently and within a team, and push the boundaries of web development to create exceptional online experiences for a diverse clientele.
  • Parallel 42 Systems, Inc.
    Front-End Web Developer
    Parallel 42 Systems, Inc. May 2023 - Aug 2023
I was given the opportunity to contribute on the implementation of a 2SLGBTQIA+ historical walking tour for Windsor using Pytheas, an open-source guided tour application developed by Parallel 42 Systems. This unique project involved leveraging my software development skills, particularly in TypeScript and React.js, to create an engaging and informative tour experience. To contribute to this meaningful initiative in partnership with Windsor Hackforge & the Windsor Essex Rainbow Alliance (WERA) was a truly rewarding experience, and I look forward to continuing my work within the queer tech space.
  • Hackforge
    Pytheas Promoter
    Hackforge Jan 2024 - Apr 2024
Continuing on my work with Pytheas, I jumped at the chance to grow my product management & developer advocacy skills in a new role with grant support from The Independent Media Arts Alliance. In this position, my primary duties include improving our codebase and project structure, researching new features, educating and engaging with folks in and adjacent to the tech world about what Pytheas can do, and helping prospective open source contributors get started with implementations of their own.

  • Groupe Dynamite
    Flagship Stock Manager
    Groupe Dynamite Sep 2021 - Nov 2022
    Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
Within a year, I was promoted to co-ordinate and manage the processing of 4,000 units of clothing per week at our high-volume flagship location. I also volunteered to be our store's designated Safety Ambassador, and as such conducted thorough monthly checks to reduce workplace hazards. I implemented many initiatives as stock manager, but my biggest success was a weekly roundup video series to share wins, updates, and challenges, which increased employee productivity by 20% over a year.
  • Groupe Dynamite
    Sales Associate & Cashier
    Groupe Dynamite Sep 2020 - Sep 2021
    Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
In addition to my casting business, I worked as a sales associate to supplement my income during the pandemic. I was awarded as our location's Top Seller by exceeding high-volume sales goals by an average of 17% every quarter. On top of my sales duties, I mentored and trained staff of 20+ on internal business softwares, KPI targets, store policies, and sales best practices.
