Served on a community accountability board where we heard juvenile cases and offered assistance to juveniles who took accountability for their actions. The program allows youth who are charged with a first time misdemeanor or felony an opportunity to do community service and an educational component to have their charge dropped by the court system and maintain a clear record in the goal that the juvenile will not participate in recidivism and when moving forward in their career path, are not penalized with a criminal record.

Project Genesis is a free community youth center that offers several programs and leisure activities available to local youth. Programs are created to address both youth and community needs. Project Genesis is a safe and professionally supervised environment that supports individual and group success by fostering healthy peer relationships and interactions, The center aims to be a productive place where youth can form friendships, complete homework, explore personal interests and hobbies through classes and group possibilities all while working with staff and peers to navigate the social and emotional challenges of adolescent life
