There should be so few defects, that it's exciting when one pops up.Software that can demonstrate that is working as expected - automated tests and application monitoringSoftware that performs as expected while being mindful of utilizing proper resources for the job. Being efficient saves money, but more importantly it's better for the planet. If you don't need to make the computation, don't do it because it wastes energy. Think about the number of computations happening globally every second. It's a lot of energy, use it wisely.Software that has product documentation that can allow any reasonably knowledgeable person to read and understand what the application does and why it's doing it.Can AI meet all of those requirements? It can't. So until it can, humans are going to be writing code for companies who value quality. It will be apparent which companies go one way versus the other.
