I'm semi-retired, but it doesn't feel that way. With Masters Degrees in mind, heart, and spirit (Computer Science, Social Work, and Transcendental Mediation-based Interdisciplinary Studies) and with a desire to make the world better, in 1984 I moved to Fairfield, Iowa, the home of meditation domes at Maharishi International University. In Fairfield, I founded and ran a publishing company from 1985-2011. I am currently a partner of the offshoot company, run by former employees, that publishes "iPhone Life" magazine and www.iphonelife.com.In 2012 I began teaching "The Successful Entrepreneur" at Maharishi International University where each day Fairfield entrepreneurs tell the stories of their companies. From the transcripts of those lectures, I wrote "Meditating Entrepreneurs - Creating Success from the Stillness Within" available in audio, digital, and print formats at Amazon and Audible. In 2008 I began Lester Levenson's Release Technique and became a teacher in 2015. For over a quarter century Thaddeus Computing published niche magazines to support mobile computing platforms. Shortly after Thaddeus Computing launched the first issue of the first magazine, The HP Portable Paper, HP introduced a new version of its Portable laptop. Filling a need, Thaddeus Computing began buying the older HP Portable laptop from its readers, which facilitated customers’ ability to purchase the newer model. In the 1990’s and 2000’s Thaddeus Computing published The HP Palmtop Paper, Smartphone & Pocket PC magazine (covering Microsoft products), and iPhone Life. Through the years Thaddeus Computing continued to buy and sell mobile computers, specializing in the computer products it wrote about.In 2011, Hal and Rita Goldstein formed two separate companies from Thaddeus Computing. Retaining equity in the new businesses, Thaddeus Computing sold much of the ownership of the two companies to its former employees. Mango Life Media currently publishes iPhone Life. UsedHandhelds.com Inc, buys and sells all kinds of mobile computing products and accessories, specializing in Windows Mobile and the HP 200LX Palmtop. Since Mango Life Media took over iPhone Life, the magazine has steadily increased circulation, advertising, and web viewership.
