- Develop, acquire, and edit children’s and select adult titles based upon Disney animated and live-action IP for both North American vertical market and global audiences, with a focus on formats like picture books, kids' cookbooks, chapter books, middle-grade, young adult, and adult coloring.- Serve as the Global Publishing Franchise Lead for Disney Classics, Villains, and select Live-Action properties and liaise with the wider Consumer Product & Games group to develop the company-wide strategy.- Review titles from licensees and global publishing partners to ensure alignment with broader franchise strategy and guidelines.- Brainstorm and obtain approvals for new formats and concepts for publication in Disney's vertical imprints.- Create acquisition memos, run P&Ls, and present titles at Acquisitions.- Write editorial letters, line-edit manuscripts, and maintain relationships with authors and agents. - Collaborate with managing editorial, design, art, production, marketing, publicity, and sales teams to move books through the publication process.- Compose copy for fact sheets, launch speeches, catalog, ARCs, jackets, and retailer feeds; manage metadata.- Present the list at launch meetings and sales conferences.
