In my summers with the The Northern Virginia Writing Project, I monitored and provided guidance to students K-12 throughout their day with the Student Summer Institute. I escorted the students to assure safe travel between classrooms and drop off and pick up locations. During drop off and pick up time, I acted as a liaison between parents and staff regarding daily agenda and feedback to address any issues and concerns. At the conclusion of every Student Summer Institute, I was rewarded with the ability to compose my own curriculum for student classes and lead my own writing workshops in which I provided students with mentorship and guidance.
