Manager Of Data Center Operations
Current• Manage and oversee a 24/7 Data Center Operations (NOC) team and Security Operations Center (SOC) team responsible for systems and applications monitoring and incident response.• Work with teams to define and implement monitoring and production support strategies for enterprise applications. Perform system analysis and determine the best strategy for using existing tools to track core applications. • Manage a department budget for monitoring and for data protections systems (backup software).• Supervise the incident response team and work collaboratively with a variety of internal engineering teams, including: Development teams, Performance Testing teams, Cloud Services team, Database team, Enterprise Architects, Database Administrative teams, and Data Analytics teams.• Work closely with internal business partners, including Health Management Services and the Provider network team. Key Accomplishments• Successfully reduced overall backup times to make all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) while increasing the total amount of data protected at a rate of approximately 10-15% per year. • Helped increase overall system uptime through improved monitoring and quicker response times to incidents. • Managed an update of antivirus software across more than 3,000 endpoints without incurring system outages. • Created a new template to on-board and monitor new and existing applications. • Identified networking performance issues related to file transfers; drove root cause analysis and remediation.
