I have been told that one of my best qualities is that I am a conscious connector. All my life I have dedicated myself to working with people. I find joy in hearing people tell their stories or even share funny anecdotes.Having connections is what motivates me to get out into the world. This led me to study abroad in Mexico during my college years. Meeting people in different countries can open your eyes to what makes a person unique because we all have different cultural programming.Being a conscious connector led me down a path where I could easily fit in with different groups. During my time in college, I joined the Black Student Union, Concert Series, Residential Life, & STEP (Students Teaching and Empowering Peers). By joining these groups, I had the opportunity to learn different life skills that extended into my professional life such as fundraising, event planning, and community bonding.As a connector and manager in the professional world, I have the responsibility to assist those who might be struggling to make connections by being a bridge and providing clear communication. This leads my teams to have stronger connections with each other.
